HI, I'M DEAN VANDEWALLE
I'm a professional surfer from Costa Rica. Over the years, I’ve traveled the world competing in surf contests, discovering incredible surf spots, and deepening my connection with the ocean.
With a calm, friendly coaching style, I love to help others feel confident and at ease in the water. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’re an experienced surfer looking to refine your skills, you will receive a deeper understanding of the ocean.
I’m also a certified personal trainer, which allows me to support you both in and out of the water, focusing on strength, mobility, and injury prevention.
I speak Dutch, English, French, and Spanish fluently. I would love to share my passion and guide you on a unique and unforgettable surf experience!

I’m a professional surfer born and raised in the surf-rich waters of Costa Rica. Surfing has taken me around the world, from competing in international contests to discovering incredible new waves in remote corners of the globe.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep respect and understanding of the ocean— but what I value most is sharing that passion with others.
While I love working with surfers of all ages, I specialize in teaching kids and helping them build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love for the ocean.
There’s nothing more rewarding than helping people connect with the ocean and
witnessing the joy and inspiration it brings into their lives.
